too many contacts

I have Microsoft Outlook and when someone sends me an
email and I reply that address then stays on my system
but does not go into my address book. How do I get rid
of addresses that are not in my address book?
 
Outlook XP.

When I hit new and go to choose an email address to send
it to, I will start typing in the first letter and so
on. Anyone that I have ever received an email from and
replied name will show up even it they are not in my
address book. Example, my boss has an email account at
home and at work and sends emails from both so when I
type in her name I get both email addresses and I don't
have the home email address saved in the address book.

Then they're stored in your autocompletion cache. Remove individual
addresses from the autocompletion cache by highlighting the entry when
presented in the suggested names list (use your arrow key to migrate to the
entry) and then hitting your Delete key before you tab out of the field. To
clear the entire cache, follow the instructions here:
