I just installed windows email with Vista.
When I go to reply to emails it either freezes and says not responding or I
have to sit there for over 5 minutes before the window pops up to make the
reply.
I am on broadband verizon wireless. It seems to be fast in other ways and
have used it with outlook for a long time. Not sure what is wrong.

Thanks,
I have already tried that 3 times. I alos opened my calender, changed my
security settings to internet from restricted and stopped my antivirus
program form scanning inbound and outbound mail.
I am using webroot for spyware and the virus program is called Trend Micro
both of which Best Buy put into my computer when they set it up yesterday.
I did update my Plaxo address book last night.
It seems almost anything I do in the email program it goes into not
responding. This includes changing emails form one to the next seems to take
forever to open it also. Trying to delete emails or call them junk. The reply
part is the worst.
My husbands works fine. I bought his computer a couple weeks ago. It wseems
a little slow when it opens but everything else is fine.
I wonder if it is a Toshiba Laptop thing. At Best Buy I was recommended this
laptop becuase I wanted speed to mostly do email an dI wanted it small for
travel.
I am giving so much info hoping we can find a common reason for the ones
that are still having problems. When Microsoft bought out the spam company
Giant I was happy that the spam filters would be better. Now that I am trying
out Vista email I am thinking I was wrong to think Microsoft would make the
email programs better then outlook. I have tried thunderbird in the past but
it does not hold the amount of email that I have.
Thank you for your help..

Thanks but I get tooo much mail to try the live mail. The format won't work
with 600 spam emails a day.
I brought it to work this morning and handed it off to my computer guy who
was here fixing something else. I figured he could transfer my documents at
the same time.
If I can't get it running I'll purchase outlook for this computer.
I wonder if it is an email thing or a broadband thing, or a spyware, virus
protection thing. Jus tnot sure where to start.
thanks again(-:

What format? You seem to have a wrong concept of what WLM is.
Windows Live Mail (WLM) is simply a standard mail client like WM
+ Hotmail access. You don't have to use the Hotmail capability if
you don't want to. However, with the volume of mail you handle,
you may be better suited with a very stable client like Outlook.
