Hi Tony4554,
I've also lost months of my History by changing the clock yesterday. I still
haven't found a way to get them back.
How did you manage to do it with DOS?
Please HELP!
Many thanks in advance:)

There are a couple of convoluted ways to get your history back. But 2 easy
ways are as follows:

1. There is a free program called IEHistoryView v1.22 that will extract ALL
of your history. You would be able to right click the selected link and open
a window to start browsing. You will be able to sort by date last visited,
Title of page/site, etc. Link to site: http://www.nirsoft.net/

2. Ahem... Install and use Firefox http://www.mozilla.org/products/ ; to
import the IE history which is still all there in the hidden index.dat file.
You will then be able to view the history and either browse the sites in
Firefox or copy the link into IE6 and browse there. I am surprised that MS
hasn't provided this option to reload past history since it is all there in
the hidden .dat file.

Both of these options will give you what you want.
Cheers
Tony

Hi Tony,

Would any of your convoluted ways allow me to see the missing History in IE6
and sorted by date?
IEHistoryView only retreived part of it (back to 02/04) and Firefox is
painfully slow and somehow doesn't sort it by dates + doesn't show me any
date (in the sort by Date and by Date and Site views).

Any more help you can provide will be very much appreciated!
Many Thanks again:)

Hi PA Bear,

Actually I did not even change it. I used it as a calendar as I didn't have
a proper calendar to hand. So all I did was that: I opened the Date/Time
Properties window, scrolled back to 2003, looked at the date I wanted to
check, scrolled back to today's date, and then cancelled it, so my
computer's date didn't ever change(and the whole thing took me 2 minutes
max). But my History saw a change somehow.
Now I've retreived some of it thanks to Tony5445's help, so it's definitely
there somewhere. And what I need is a way to get ALL of it back, in IE6 if
possible, and sorted by date.
Any idea?
