You can leave unchecked the options to send newsletters etc . You don't
automatically get emails from them unless you agree to it.

A number of programs require this, AVG is another example, I'm pretty sure
they're not spamming me.

A couple of questions
Why do they need my email addr if not to contact me? Why contact me but to
sell?
Also the program has 4 parts only one is free. The other 3 you buy?
To me that is ad or spam ware.
Not freeware.
If you want it good luck
I dumped it and will get a real freeware program...

So set up a free junk email address. Give that email address when
registering the software.
Go there to receive your confirmation email notice, then just dump that
email box! (Or re-use it when "registering" some other software.) You won't
care how much spam shows up in that mailbox.

and relevant information, no spam.
