|| 'revolving arrows'. The send/receive thing seems to be instantaneous
|| (broadband). Is there any other way of reaching the box to uncheck
|| it?

|| maximize and uncheck the box.

||| appears briefly showing progress. There is an option like "do not
||| show this box again". I checked it by accident and now can't get it
||| back. So when I click on send/receive I see nothing visible to
||| confirm that the system is actually checking. How can I get this box
