TOC Column Question

I'm trying to customize a TOC for a template I've created in MS Word X on the Mac. The template is currently two columns. I would like the TOC to be one column. Is it possible to have this happen and then still be able to syle it to have tabs?

Every time I try it sets the TOC inside the column that the cursur is in. I would like it to open on its own page. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

product that's part of Office Professional.

You'd be best off reposting your question to a newsgroup related to Word.
