Toaster?

Where did the toaster go? Personally I think the the toaster that was
available in beta 1 gave me more information and allowed me to take action
in the toaster without open the main interface. Would there be any change
we can have this back as an option (since other programs MSN Messenger, etc.
also uses the toaster). Plus does anyone know why this option was removed?

We now use balloon messages instead of pop-up's. Users stated that the
pop-ups were too invasive and their goal was to get the message to "go
away." With that feedback and Microsoft Application requirements, we have
opted for the balloon messages in the system tray.

Excellent choice Steve, as the pop-ups were not just too invasive, they were
also cumbersome and seemed to eat memory like it was chocolate pudding.

I find it now takes more steps to answer questions. When Windows Defender
ask for permission to change an IE setting or remove/allow a program I now
have to open the interface look at the info and then make a decision. Where
as before I looked at the toaster and then click Approve, Deny, Remove, etc
It is now an extra step. Not that big of a deal, just got use to and
started to like the toaster. :)

The thing is it depends. If there are alot of messeges (spyware or programs
trying to modify the system), then the main interface is easier and quicker.
But if you have only 1 item being changed then it is very time consuming.
