Hi,

Would like to fill in a blank cell with something, it located in another
area of the list,

it looks like this, **** means blank cell

merchant
1234
Totals ****

I would like to put the merchant number next to the total cell.

it works for the first batch, but my list continue on about 40 to 50 batch
and some batches has more lines which look like this

merchant
1234
1234
1234
1234
Totals ****

is there a formula?

Hi,

You essentially want the blank cell to be equal to the value in the cell one
cell to the left (of the blank cell) and then one cell above. Select the
column which has the blanks and then do Ctrl+G > Special > Blanks. This
will select all the blank cells. Now press the left arrow key and up arrow
key to select the cell. Now press Ctrl+Enter.

Hope this helps.
