How can I not allow the e-mail address to not be included in the "TO:" input
line along with the Name of the person receiving the e_mail.

It is unclear to me what you desire.

If you are attempting to mask your identity, perhaps a free WEB-based
account will suffice. Try http://mail.yahoo.com

use Bcc and put your own address in the TO line
to see Bcc, click on VIEW in the email edit window and ALL Headers.

P&L, I know what you are describing but the first two respondents didn't.
That behavior irritates me also. You would be more correct to describe the
problem as the printing of the UserID@Domain name following their e-mail name
as defined in your address book. When I find and answer, I'll post it.

If that was the question (hard to tell with the double negative),
the answer is: you can't change it. That is the way it is.

You can't. It has to be there.
OE didn't show it, Windows Mail does.
I don't understand how this is a problem.

One way I can see it as a problem is because a lot of people don't use Bcc
when sending to several recipients and all recipients email addys are plainly
visible to each recipient. Then, if the email is forwarded on from the
original recipient, then forwarded on again.....each subsequent forward shows
the original recipints email addy. I don't know about you, but I get enough
spam as it is without my email addy being forwarded to a bunch of people I
don't know. Also, a lot of people don't know how to retrieve the email addy
if it is not plainly visible as in OLExpress.

How things are displayed on the To line when composing a message
in WinMail has no bearing on what you see at the recipient end.
There is no difference in what you see when receiving a message
regardless of whether it was composed in OE or composed in
WinMail.

If you don't want your addy displayed to the world, don't give it to anyone
or send email

I have used numerous email programs ...this has to be the worst i feel like
Windows mail is a step backward. Can i load Outlook Express with Vista?

No, OE will not install with Vista.
If you don't like WinMail, you could try Thunderbird.

Bob,
Sort of an asinine thing to say. This is a discussionn group for people to
find helpful information and maybe discuss things/features they would like to
to see a program. Your comment was a waste of time to read.
