Hi,

You really need to work on the site. I am on a high speed line and a post
can take up to 1 minute to display, and similarly is you click Reply. Far
too often you get a message the the site is unavailable. This behavior isn't
consistant, but it is very annoying.

Please spend a little time to improve the site.

Thanks,

Actually I use Windows Mail Live and its very fast, but a number of feature
are lost - a Yes/No button, and indicator of the status of the question for
example. Also, posting made via Mail Live do not get counted in the number
of posts the user has made, if that is of importance.

Hi,

In Vista, Microsoft has replaced outlookexpress with Windows Mail and
Windows Mail Live.

are lost - a Yes/No button, and indicator of the status of the question for
example. Also, posting made via Mail Live do not get counted in the number
of posts the user has made, if that is of importance.

Shane,
I also use VistaHP and windows mail and don't feel a need for the other
"features"

It's not lost, it's not there in the first place. That junk is added on the
ms website layer which slows the thing down. But sure, if it's of importance
to you then I understand that you want it fixed. I believe Microsoft have
some IT people on their payroll...

Best wishes Harald

But you posted this message through the web interface.

The choices for newsgroup access are many. The situation is probably
getting out of hand - it is dangerous to assume that all users see the
same features as you do in any message.

I normally use Windows Mail to view microsoft newsgroups, and I have
the message rating features turned off.
There are many other newsreaders out there, some better, some worse.

We are also starting to see a bunch of web interfaces for usenet;
I am currently replying to this message using Google Groups.
I could also use www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx
or http://pcreview.co.uk/forums/forum-193.php.

No doubt a bunch of other web 2.0 apps are coming along to help us use
usenet. I wonder how many rating systems we will have :)

Hopefully some system will rate them :-)

Best wishes Harald
