It is obvious the same questions are asked dozens of times
in these newsgroups, and in just this newsgroup, with
there now being 500 pages, it is a bit tedious just
thinking about going through 500 pages to see if my
question has already been answered somewhere.

So, the obvious question is: "Why don't you have
a "Search" featue?" But, I won't ask the obvious question
because I know you know it would be nice to have, but you
must have decided against having one. Therefore, the
question I will ask is: "Why did you decide against
providing a "Search" feature?"

In advance of your answer: I am very red-faced when you
tell me there is one, and how to find it.

Thanks, and best wishes.... Frank

PS: If anyone who reads this has the same question, and
in keeping with current lack of a "Search" feature, maybe
it is appropriate for you to repost this question under
your name. :-)

Frank, are you aware that you can read the newsgroups with MS Outlook
Express:
Tools | Accounts | News | Add | News
Server is
msnews.microsoft.com

Now you can Edit | Find your own message.

With the most recent version you can use Ctrl+H to bring up your own
threads.

Allen,

Thanks for the great tip...

I pitched Outlook Express years ago after it bit me a time
or two. However, your suggestion led me to see if it works
in Outlook 2000 C/W, and Lo' and Behold! It appears to be
all there. In about 3 minutes, I had it up and working
using Help and Server: msnews.microsoft.com

It installs in Outlook 2k a bit differently, use View,
Goto, News... (search Help for News) for more complete
instructions.

Thanks again.... Frank
