Hi, I am a web designer, and i do lot of coding on my computer. Before
I installed XP. SP2, I had no problem when i am writing my scripts and
flash code.

But now, everytime i open a page to view it, I get Information Bar with
that annoying message...

Now, I am not retarded, I don't download ActiveX over the web and run
them on my local computer. I just need to be able to test my website on
my hard drive. I can't even add my c:\website to a list of trusted
sites in the Internet Explorer...

It's very annoying information bar. What can I do to disable it, at the
same time, not allowing anywebsite to run ActiveX on my computer
without consent. All I need is to be able to test my website locally.
And that is how it was with previous versions of IE. If no solution to
this, I think i would have to switch to FireFox.

Hi,
There are three workarounds for this:
1. Rename each .HTM file to .HTA while it's on your HD. HTA files aren't as
restricted.
2. Give each page the "Mark of the Web"
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/workshop/author/dhtml/overview/motw.asp
3. Internet Options> Advanced> Security> check "Allow active content to run
in files on My Computer ."
You will, of course, be giving up some of the enhanced security of the XP
SP2 update.

Hope this helps,
