Dell sys you have a Conexant D850 56K V.9x DFVc Modem

thanks for your reply,I tried this one but the setup
programme is not doing anything from download,
and drivers could not be installed for the modem,
for other devices(eathernet,soundcard) i used , the
drivers listed with dell configuration (download drivers
utility for dimension2400 win2k)they worked fine,except
modem, any further help will be appriciated

thanks

The modem should have an FCC ID number on it. Go to the FCC site and look up
the number. That should get you the manufacturer of the modem, then you
should be able to find a driver on Google.

Thank you very much for your help,
Accidentally I got the hardware config from dell using the
service tag of my computer, the modem according to dell is
as mentioned bellow

Part # Part Description
4U829 Modem, V92, Internal, Data Fax, SOFT, DONJ, AMF

I could not find a driver in dell site for this
modem ,tried google also ,noluck

could you please help,I am sorry I am bothering you a
lot :)

thanks
Raj

i feel it is either a Conexant or a Motorola Modem. try installing these
drivers one by one and check whether your modem works. You can check your
modem by quering it thru Control Panel>Modems.

check with Motorola
