Hi all gamers,
I want your feedback. What is the best mouse that you use or have used for
gaming. I'm looking for a wireless/optical mouse. Don't care about the
weight or battery life. All I need is reaction speed and precision. No need
to debate which mouse is the best and please keep it at to what you have
personally gamed with. A brief note on what you like about your mouse would
be welcome.
Thanks all.

Ditto. Shop around and you may find the wireless keyboard/mx700 mouse
combo for the same price as the mouse alone.

I tried the MX700 & didn't like it. I found it too heavy (when playing fast
FPS games it felt clumsy). Also the charging cradle. So your desk is less
cluttered since there's no mouse cord, but now you have some stupid charging
contraption sitting in the corner that you have to worry about putting the
mouse into now & then. Seems like too much trouble for the tiny advantage
of having no mouse cord. Of course this is all strictly IMO. Then there's
that tiny lag that occurs when the cursor won't move, after the mouse comes
out of sleep mode (i.e. potentially very often). That bothered me.

But the main thing was the shape of it. It didn't fit my hand properly. I
suspect that it, and possibly all Logitech mice, is/are meant to be held
with the entire hand. The recess on the right side of the mouse seems to
fit the little finger perfectly. Then you have 3 fingers on top of the
mouse so you can L, R, & scroll click without shifting fingers. I wonder if
anyone uses their mouse that way? I couldn't get used to that, and holding
the mouse any other way wasn't comfortable. Anyway this is way too much
detail... The prospective user needs to just try it for themselves. ;)

J you weak wristed FAG, use the MX 700 mouse for a month and get the
wrist BEEEFED UP :)

And get a decent mouse pad with a hard surface so it can glide over it
no cloth mats :)

Grrrrrrrrrrr.

I agree that the MX700 is a great mouse, definitely the best I've had
(although Microsoft mice do seem to fit nicely in the hand).

The only problem that I've got with the MX700 is that I am always pressing
the right mouse button by mistake - the button is far too sensitive.

Anyone agree? Or am I just a big clumsy git.

I used the MX700 and got rid of it. I went back to the MX500 and will
soon be going to get a new MX510 tomorrow. Just today on Screen
Savers they reviewed the top 10 best gaming mice and they didn't even
have the MX700 on the list. The main reason the MX510 is better is
because it captures 5.8 megapixels per second while the MX700 only
captures 4.7. They both have an 800dpi optical sensor but with the
huge gap in the megapixel area the choice is clear. Go to
www.tomshardware.com to check out more if you like.

I would not use a wireless mouse for gaming..Lag time. Use one with a
wire, make that your first criteria.

Your the only one who thinks the Mx 700 is a Bad mouse with lag HA HA.

No he isn't.
It's not bad, is the best cordless mouse out there, but not as good as
their corded versions for gaming.

Best gaming mouse for right-handers is an MX510.
Best for lefties is MX310.
Don't need all the buttons or like a lighter, more traditionally shaped
mouse, MX300.

MX700 comes 5th place or later, after MX500.
