Titles in MM2 URGENT

i AM MAKING A SHORT VIDEO BY DRAGGING CLIPS DOWN TO THE TIMELINE, AS USUAL. WHEN I TRY TO ADD TITLES, THE DIALOG BOX OPENS AND I CHOOSE, SAY 'AT BEGINNING OF mOVIE" OR ANY OTHER OPTION... AS SOON AS I TYPE A LETTER IN THE TITLE BOX. THE TIRLE BOX DISAPPEARS AND MY ENTIRE MOVIE also vanishes, IE ALL THE CLIPS ARE WIPED OUT FROM THE TIMELINE.
The bizarre thing is that i have another computer also with MM2, and the titling command works perfectly on that computer. ( unfortunately , its cd burner is broken so I cannot do it on that computer.
HELP HELP I am under the gun to finish this video fora special occasion!
 
Try visiting
www.papajohn.org and see problem solving > accleration and codecs.
It could be a codec conflict.
Make sure directX is up to date.
If this doesn't work, easiest thing I can think of is swap the cd writers on
the two machines, get the job sorted and out of the way and then fiddle to
get MM to work properly on the other machine!!
