Titles cut off

I have Vista Movie Maker. I have a problem where titles are being cut off on
the right side, even though they are typed in correctly. When I publish the
movie to PC in widescreen, the titles fit, but my format is not widescreen.
It was shot in normal DV. When I publish the movie to PC in normal format,
the titles are cut off. When I publish the movie to DVD in 16:9 format, the
titles are cut off. I don't know how to beat it. The titles are being cut
off, and I don't know how to fix it. Any help would be appreciated. I
couldn't find a newsgroup for Vista Movie Maker.

I have the exact same problem. I spent a lot of time creating credits to
publish and have the last letter of my name cut off in addition to several
other cut offs. It is only on the right side and only one letter. I have
tried retyping and that did not work. My next solution is to redo the
credits, but I really wish I did not have to do that. Anyone find a solution
to this very annoying problem with Vista Movie Maker?

notch the font size down

the preview is slightly different than the rendered movie, resulting in the
word-wrapping happening differently, something you don't know until you see
it in the saved movie.

Thanks for the suggestion. I reduced the font size, but still have the
problem. I even tried redoing the title and still the same. The cut offs do
not occur with every credit. Just certain ones. For example, the title

"Darth
Travis"

comes out

"Darth
Travi"

Another title is "vs.", but when the movie is published there is no period.
I am wondering if it is just the font I am using "StarVader." I am going to
try using a different font to see what happens.

Travis, I've had the same problem you had. Experimenting with just a dozen
pictures, I found that eventually the problem propagated to other pictures. I
discovered that by switching to single-line title and using 'fade, slow zoom'
for the animation, I could see that lthe last digit of the title (month and
year) was not displayed. I added a period after each truncated title (thirty
some in close to 300 pictures) and I got the movie I wanted. But obviously
something is wrong with Movie Maker. It's alarming that such fundamental
feature does not work properly. One wonders how carefully this product has
been tested.
Cordially,
Jay
