We have a new system we've imaged and we use a custom Title Window such as
"provided by ....". When we go to a site our title is prefixed with data
that identifies the site we're at such as Community Newsgroups - Microsoft
Internet Explorer provided by ..... My question is Where does it pull the
"Community Newsgroups" from and insert it in front of our custom title? We
have one user who only gets the first character of any site he goes to and
doesn't get the custom title window. I think there's something corrupt or
missing from his registry, but I don't know what or where. Any help you can
provide is appreciated.

This problem has usually been caused by Google's Desktop Search application,
or it's Toolbar. An uninstall/reinstall is the typical fix.

The custom window title for a particular web page is pulled from HTML on the
page itself.
For example, go to this page - http://windowsxp.mvps.org/toolbarcop.htm then
in IE click View...Source. You'll see the <title> tag near the top.

BHO</title>
