Tip: How to show a gradient background in a ListView control

That's cool and wacky! The downside is that you can't immediately tell what
domain you're going to end up on, but the no-wrap URLs are nice.

Yes, that's a drawback, but you could easily tell the reader where they'll
end up in your message containing the tiny URL.

You don't any more than you know Microsoft's NNTP server will always be
available. :)

My only point is that it's a good thing if you can eliminate the requirement
for your readers to cut and paste multiple parts of a long URL. Perhaps
you'd consider including both forms (long and tiny)...
 
This was a recommenndation for Alex - the poster. OE without a patch
produces posts with broken URLs. Doesn't matter what reader you are using.
