Tiny's computer cases

It's my first attempt at sorting out a Tiny computer.
I've looked at the Tiny website and what it refers to as "support".
£1 a minute on the phone & unanswered emails.
Some things will never change. They're still incompetent.

Anyway, leaving aside the use of triangular-headed casing screws...

THE PROBLEM IS A VERY SIMPLE ONE.
How do I get the case off the Flat Desktop Model base unit??
It's a couple of years old (1000Mhz machine, 20Gbyte HD).
(Of course there's no model no.)

It has a standard casing screw centrally placed on the top back
with a note that says "remove screw to open".
Alas....

From the back it looks like the top cover has to go up...
The front face doesn't look like it detachs from the top metal casing.

Somebody help me please.

Don't have experience with that particular PC, but "usually" when
there's a single or couple screws like that you need to take 'em
out and slide cover backwards a cm or two then lift up. It may
fit snugly and require a bit of force, grasping sides of rear
with palms of hands and pushing forward on back side with fingers
may be the easiest way.

Like anything - its easy when you know how! If you haven't already figured
it out, here's how its done (I have the same type of case, although not
provided with a tiny PC inside I hasten to add) - remove the central rear
screw, grasp the sides of the case cover and pull forwards sharply - you may
find it easier to "clap" your hands onto the case will pulling them towards
you. The whole top, sides and front cover come off as one piece leaving just
the floppy and CDROM covers sticking out the front. Be aware that if its the
case with a headphone & mic socket there will be wires attached so don't
pull it too far away from the rest of the case before releasing these. You
shouldn't need to touch the triangular head screws.

Sounds like the old Compaqs. I had a Deskpro 2000 (P166 16MB 1.6GB) that I
wanted to add a modem to and use just as a fax 'server' - that was a b*gger
to remove.

Worked a treat Much appreciated.
Even got the speaker wires before they were ripped off.
Thanks Paul.
