tiny new windows

A few days ago I wanted a few IE6 windows all open at
once so I selected them all and clicked "tile
horizontally".

Now whenever I open a link in a new window the window
opens ridiculously small and I have to maximise it myself
every time. I have tried resetting everything to default,
clearing cache and rebooting but it still always happens -
very annoying.

Can anyone please tell me how to ensure that new windows
are always maximised as they used to be.

Try stretching the small window to full size. (Do not use Maximize)
Ensure that window is the last one closed and IE should remember the
size next time.

What you are seeing is the smallest window size.

Open such a link.
Don't use the maximize button.
Stretch the edges/corners so that the window fills the screen.
Close all other IE windows.
Close the stretched window last.
