I had to do a system restore on xp for the first time and
the overall fonts are soooo small I can hardly see them.
I know how to change the size in Internet Explorer, but
the desktop fonts, my Outlook Express Mail fonts are all
sooo small. I know its only a minor job, but I just dont
know where to look. Usually I'm pretty good at this, but
I've only had xp about 2 weeks.

Right click on the Desktop, select Properties
Then select Settings
Select Advanced
On the General Tap - see Display
Set DPI setting (normal size (96 DPI)
or adjust to your preference.

Taurarian, thanks for your reply - I had already been in
there previously and it was showing normal size (96 DPI) -
I didnt know what size to alter it to. But if this is
normal and yet everything is miniscule, then surely it
would have to be altered somewhere else?

If you have never altered the DPI setting than it was not the cause for the
change since 96%(Normal) is the default setting. Perhaps your desktop
size has changed? For example: if you were using 800x600 and it changed
to 1024x768, everything throughout Windows (including the display of
fonts) would appear smaller.

Sharon - thank you so much - I altered those settings as
you suggested, and everything is fine now.
