Timing Out --

I have two users set up on this computer -- me and my wife. After a set
time, we are logged off to the opening screen and in order to bring the
computer back to use, we have to click on our respective icon. This
disconnnects the internet (DSL) and if I'm loading something, it stops the
process.

I have discontinued the power savings and have the monitor set to never off.

This is driving me crazy. Anyone have any suggestions?

I assume you mean after a set time the system is idle it logs off. If that
is the case, do the following. Open Control Panel, open Display, go to the
Screen Saver tab, remove the check from "On resume, display Welcome screen,"
click apply and ok.
