Timeout Over WAN

I have an .mdb database (a souped up telephone directory)
housed on a shared directory. One of our branch offices
accesses the database over a WAN that is so slow that error
messages are generated before it fully loads. Before
experimenting, I thought I would ask: would changing the
OLE/DDE timeout in the Tools|Options|Advanced menu give the
application more time to open? Would changing the timeout
to zero turn the timeout off? Or is there an
advantage/downside to setting the timeout to a greater
number than the default 30 seconds?

Thanks!

You could try this but who who knows if this will make a difference.

Your two simplest options are:
1) Terminal Server/Citrix
2) Upsize to SQL Server (which will help a lot but likely not as
useful as the TS/Citrix option)
