--I have imported clips into a collection. Up to a few days ago I could
looke at tye time/line storyline and add or edit, but suddenly all I get now
is a big, red 'X' at the beginning of a clip and the action is blank.
Can the clip images be recovered, and how?
Please someone help. It taken about three weeks to accumulate this sequence.
I'm devastated.

Hi Mozart!

The big red X means that Movie Maker can't find the source file for your
clip. This usually happens when you physically move the location of your
video files on your harddrive. If you double-click on the clip, MM should
pop up a dialog that lets you browse you harddrive and indicate new location
of the clips.

Hope this helps!

This happened to me also. What I figured out was that after having the movie
completed and saved in MM I deleted files I used while making the movie from
the Collections bar. I had to restore them from my recycle bin and
everything came back. The moral is don't delete anything until your movie is
completed and saved to another format. -bob
