I have Windows Movie Maker 2.1.4029.0 - I am using .jpg's and an mp3 - the
timeline worked fine, saved the program - the next day, wanted to work on the
movie, and now I have no images in my timeline window - I have audio, and if
I click on the pictures, I can see them. I can also export to a movie, and
view the movie.

I remember an issue I had last year - I found a post that re-installing
Windows Media Player fixed a problem with saving a movie (and it did, for
some reason) - but this issue is different, and reinstalling Media Player did
not work.

I've tried inserting files, removing files - nothing works - - any ideas?

Converting the .mp3 to .wma or .wav before
importing might be worth a try. JPEGs can
also cause issues sometimes.
