timeline Clips don't play

Okay, so the clips in the selection windows play, but once I plug them into
the timeline I only get sound, there is no picture. Is there any way to fix
that?

It sounds like you may be using mpeg files. MM works best with AVI files,
convert said files and all should be well.

actually, I am using an avi file, so I can't really see where the problem
would be.

What codec was used to make the avi file? If it's one that you don't have or
won't work with Movie Maker, it might still need conversion to something
that will work.

Check the file with GSpot to see which codec was used.... link on the Setup

None of my videos work, even those I downloaded won't work. I don't know
where the problem is.

Okay, got it, it was the stupid codec I used. It screwed up all the videos
basically. thanx
