Timed shutdown

Hi. I am running Windows XP Pro, but am not an experienced user.

I would like to set music to play using Windows Media Player, but with a
scheduled shutdown (or stand by) that I can set. Basically, I want the
equivalent of the sleep buttom on my CD/alarm clock.

Is there a command that would allow me to do this? If it is a DOS-like
command, how do I even enter that from Windows XP?

Thanks. TAF

There's a very handy little app called Kana Reminder located at
http://www.kana.homeip.net/ which might work well for you. You can even
schedule shutdowns, logoffs and more with it; I use it to keep track of my
meds schedule. Free also.

Glad you like it; had it for years now, no known (to me) bugs.
