Using win 2000 (sp3)
Every other reboot my pc takes ages to load - about 7 mins - If I reboot
again it's fine untill the next reboot.
For the slow boots my volume control icon in the system tray is not there &
trying to run programs like "Total recorder" report "there is no real audio
driver on your computer" - another reboot & its all fine!
In my application event log I get several "Timed out sending notification of
device interface change to window of "" " - useful huh?
I also get 2 other system event log warnings "Symantec AntiVirus
Auto-Protect could not scan file E:\WINNT\System32\ativvaxx.dll for viruses
due to low kernel stack." & "Symantec AntiVirus Auto-Protect could not scan
file E:\WINNT\System32\ati3duag.dll for viruses due to low kernel stack. "
which mean as much to me as the 1st!
any ideas what might be causing this?
