1. Does anyone know where I can still get a copy of Allnetic's Working Time
Tracker V1.7.4?? Their new version 2.xx is shareware now, but the old
version worked just fine. I wish I'd kept a copy of the install file,
because when I tried out the V2, before I knew they were making it
shareware, it disabled V1...

2. Alternately, are there any other freeware timesheet-type programs that I
can use to track my hours on various projects??

I don't know how much functionality you need.

Let me know what you think is missing. It could be added in the
future.

Er... your website?

Serious: The link you provided returns nill for me...Even http://zanami.com/
doesn't work. Am i the ony one with that problem, are you working on your
site or is there an other problem?

I had no problem to get access to the website from two different
locations during the last week. I don't know what others have to say.

May be my web hosting provider was down for a moment...

I can see hits coming from machines other then mine...

http://www.google.com/search?q=Allnetic+Working+Time+Tracker+V1.7.4&hl=
en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&filter=0

Spanish sites seem to have the .exe; didn't actually download it to
see if they were Spanish versions of the program.

None of those sites had links to the freeware program, they all linked back
to Allnetic's site, which only offers access to 20.234, which is shareware.
That's the same experience that I had when *I* tried Google, before I
posted to this group...

I had tried Zanami, but it really don't provide enough functionality for
me to use it to track consulting time, at least the way *I* work!!

Some of the things I think it needs:

- Ability to edit entries once they already exist; I often find myself
either wandering off to get something to eat or something, but forgetting
to stop the clock, so I come back and want to delete 15 minutes (or
whatever) out of the logged time. Also, I seem to regularly sit down to
work, but forget to start the clock until I've been working for awhile.
In both cases, ability to edit start/stop times on an existing entry
would save me a headache.

- Ability to generate a report from existing entries, at least in text
form.

- I didn't use it long enough to see if it did this, but if I work on a
given task on multiple days, I need to be able to list the entries
separately; most clients that I've worked for have required time reports
by task and date... Either separate a given task by dates worked, or
provide a way to easily duplicate an existing line, with new time
entries.

- It would be nice if I could minimize to System Tray while it's running,
to get it out of the way on my main taskbar...

1.6.0 release tracks enough information to present information by day.
I will think about the actual user interface on this...

Just close the application :)

I see that now. Didn't check the file number that was wanting to
download. My bad.

zanami.com works for me now, and the timetracker page on the site loads
without problems.
It was maybe a temporary thing.

I found version 1.5.3 here, will that work for you?
http://www.panvasoft.com/eng/2107/

It says 1.7 on the page, but the second link (ftp search) finds
ftp.iif.hu/pub/mirror/ftp.winsite.com/pub/pc/win95/business/wttrack.zip
which is 1.5.3. The other links go to Allnetic and get the newer
version.

http://www.slunecnice.cz/product/Working-Time-Tracker/awttzip/

and download from FTP protocol (wtt174.zip).

I downloaded (not installed) it and readme says:
"AllNetic Working Time Tracker - Version 1.7.4 - Released 09 Jun 2003"

Hope it helps.
