time outs occurred when checking email through outlook 2003

I am using the trial version of office 2003 before I make a purchase and I
continually have to keep having my email rebooted through "send and receive"
because I keep having a time out occure and it happens not only every time I
check my email through outlook 2003 but more than once.

What can I do for this before I decide to purchase it?
 
Have you tried increasing the server timeout interval? You'll need to go to
Tools | E-mail Accounts, navigate to the account in question, click Change,
then More Settings, and then the Advanced tab.
