Once a movie project is done and you play it visualizing the time line. Does
it make any difference if the movie seems to be running along and the time
line stands still at zero. Should the blue time line marker be the moving
object over the layed out story? Does this point to some type of pathology
with the program? I was the one that was having all types of problems with
the loss of collections, freezing movie maker, and at times the computer
screen going completely white. I was eventually able to get it into a DVD.
During my struggles I had noticed that sometimes the time line blue marker is
the one that moves over the movie project and at others it stays a zero and
the movie seems to be the one that moves. Is there a book that explains more
about the movie maker program that can not really be optained from the help
line. Foe example what is the maximum amount of video effects that you can
have in a project or on a single video clip? Thank you all.

Check the Offline > Books and Training page of my website, and the Online >
Tutorials and References... I wrote two of the books.

There's a limit of 6 video effects on a single video clip... more than that
with a hack... you can mix and match the effects, adding more than one of
the same effect (so a speed up effect applied 6 times will speed it up by
2x2x2x2x2x2 times or 64 times.

The smoothness of the indicator moving along with the preview would usually
reflect on the power and condition of the computer.... to keep up with the
clock ticking, Movie Maker will drop info and things as needed.
