Time-line combine problem

I am trying to combine 3 clips that were made contigiously from the same dvd
(they are mpg's). I dragged each one to the timeline (when I import the next
clip the first one vanishes from the pane but still shows up and plays in the
timeline correctly) but everytime I try to combine them I get a nudge left or
right and never get the 'combine' to appear...what am I doing wrong or how do
I get this resolved?

==========================
Drag the clips to the timeline and
go to...File / Save Movie File...

To expand a little on John's post.
The "combine" option only works with clips that were together to begin with
and then split using Movie Maker.
You can't actually right click and choose "combine" to combine separate
clips together.
This is because the clips that are "split" are still really only one video
on your harddrive that is only split into pieces within Movie Maker.

Also I would like to note that MPEG videos do tend to cause problems in
Movie Maker 2.1 so if you experience audio but no video or some other
strange results it is likely because of the source files being MPEG.

jo...but if I used the capture feature and started and stopped the capture 3
times during the same clip and then clicked the finalize button...Wouldn't
that have made them all one clip? The extension is .WMV BY the way...
