I have inserted video clips into Powerpoint for well over a year and have never had a problem. Video clips ranged from 30 seconds to well over 5 minutes. I have produced a video that is 7 minutes and 16 seconds long and when I insert the video and set the transition to 436 seconds, it cuts off and moves to the next slide after only 312 seconds. Is there a time limit on video clips per slide? Is there an adjustment I can use so that my video is not cut off????

Liz,

Why not set the presentation to "not continue while the video clip is playing" ?

Insert > movies > from file

find your video clip and insert it

Right click your video clip > Custom animation > play settings > play using anim order (ticked) > while playing...pause
the slideshow
