Hello i have a old time computer.

What came with a re-load cd for windows me.

I was trying to install my own windows xp home disc.

After the install file the sound did,nt work right.

Do not agree with re-load cd.

No wonder they went bust. Everything is on a re-load cd store in a part of the harddrive.

is there a re-load cd to download from a torrent site to get windows xp home to work.

the pc is 800hmz with 128 min ram,TNT card,Sound blaster.

Even if there were we couldn't point you to it as that download would be illegal.

Sorry.

What you need is some hard disk formatting software to erase all partitions on your hard disk and then format as a whole.

Hi I've got a unused ,legal , boxed, with maual copy of Partition Magic 3.0 that you can have for a £5.00 + postage . Bought it of e-bay but it doesn't have the facilities of the later versions I needed and I never used it . Partition Magic is easy peasy to use :D

Abarbarian, sorry but PM3 is virtually worthless now.

It doesn't work with XP, for a start.

I believe the latest version of Partion Magic is V8.0, that's the one I have.

Virtualy worthless , is a pretty strong term for a solid piece of software . Yes PM is up to v.8.0 and costs around £50.00 .
However v.3.0 allows you to wipe a drive and format in NTFS partitions as per your suggestion ,

to michael555.

If thats all the guy needs to do then v.3.0 would be a very cheap and legal soution to his problem . :p :D

agreed, but I could host a (legally) free piece of software that would do the same job and it fits on a floppy

like I said, sorry
