In Windows XP, is it possible to determine the time a file was last opened, as distinct from the time it was last modified? I know it is possible to find the time last modified by checking "details" under "view," but will this time be updated if the file is merely opened and not modified in any way? Thanks for your help.

With your folder set to Details view, right click on the bar that has the
column headings. In the popup menu, select More, then check the Accessed
option. Voila
