TIFF Viewer?

Do you have Microsoft Photo Editor? If not, what graphic
viewer do you have? If you want to view a *.tif file, you
need to have a graphic viewer that supports that file
type. I don't think IE does that. So you need a third
party graphic viewer.

Just make sure that file type is associated with your
viewer, but only if it supports that file extension.

Thanks for your reply. We don't have MS Photo Editor, but
do have PhotoShop Elements which will certainly
display .tif(f) files, but NOT online through IE6 even
though PhotoShop has been selected to handle TIFF files in
File Types of MS XP. Windows 98 came with Kodakimg.exe to
handle TIFF files (quite nicely), but I can't seem to coax
XP into accepting it as a new program. XP will not even
allow us to download a TIFF file, in usable form, to disk!

When you try and save the file, do you "save targe as" or
just copy and paste? Also, the file extension, does it
default to *.tiff or *.tif? If it defaults to *.tiff try
and saving it as *.tif only. This might help. Other than
that, I am at a loss myself.

Is there a way to view *.tiff files online with Microsoft
XP-Home Edition? Thanks.

Online, I don't know, but Irfanview www.irfanview.com is freeware and
one of the best image processing programs. It supports countless image
formats.
