TIFF decompressor

My prof posted his lectures on-line, and it says that a TIFF decompressor is
required to view some of the images on his ppt slides. I noticed that the
obvious fix required access to the original images. In this case, it's not
possible. Is there any other way around it?
 
Other than accessing the original pictures and reinserting them properly,
you might be able to view the pictures if you access the PowerPoint with a
Mac.
