We have two computers running XP. When a tif file is clicked from explorer in one pc it automatically downloads the tif and opens it in Windows Picture and Fax Viewer which is what we want. When it is clicked in the other pc the file tries to open in Explorer but only displays a small image placeholder. The question is what setting do we need to change on the pc so it can open the Tifs from explorer. The images can be downloaded and opened in windows picture viewer no worries. It just cannot seem to make the connection from explore
Thank
Brendan

Hi Brendan,

Where is the tif file that you're trying to open in the Windows Picture and
Fax viewer? Is it just an Explorer window and are you double-clicking to
open it? What happens when you right-click the tif and click Preview? What
does double-clicking the tif do?

No the tif is a link to a tif on a web page. In internet explorer on one
computer it opens up in the viewer. On the other computer we only get the
image placeholder. However on that computer u can download the tif with the
save as dialog and double click on it after saving to open it in the viewer
