Thunderbird filter question

Every day I get a few spam emails with totally empty message bodies.
I'd like Thunderbird to filter these out and send them directly to the
trash folder.
I've tried writing it as BODY CONTAINS and left the third box
blank. I've tried the same but with the third box reading ""

What's the proper syntax for this kind of filter (or can it be done)?

I don't know about Thunderbird, but there is a rule in Outlook Express
you should be able to use.

Something to the effect of this:

If the message does NOT contain a,e,i,o,u then delete it.

I use the adaptive junk mail controls and TB seems to learn quickly. I
then set the junk mail to go to my trash folder which I have
automatically emptied after 3 days. Seems to work well. The adaptive
junk mail controls are under "tools."

Merely passing on what I learned from someone else. I'm glad it works
for you.
By the way, I got tired of constantly tweaking my filters. Since I
started using K9 as my mail filter the efficiency has reached 99.7%.
