I have thunderbird as my email program. I was clearing out my inbox of old
mail a couple of days ago. Now after I read new email, it disappears. It is
not in the sent, trash, draft, outbox, etc. If I search for the email by the
sender, it will come back up. If i refresh my email (after it is read) it
disappears again. Not sure what has happened...

Please help

Thunderbird is not a Microsoft product. Please contact Thunderbird support
for assistance.

dump it, it wouldnt delete or read some emails on my server, had to
use the web based program, mail2web.

gone back to freeagent -- it does what it is told!

:-)
open the thunderbird - right click trash icon - properties - go to retention
policy - and select Don't delete any messages and uncheck the box always
delete read messages - OK

I'm not sure that is the right answer: I think that in your options, you
have specified a time to remove from the server - it should be NEVER

tha fact that you do not know how to use a program, does not meant it's at
fault. Using thunderbird sine inception, no problems what so ever.
