New computer. Five times the speed of the previous one and when I am in
thumbnail view, they take much longer than the old computer to load. Forget
scrolling to look. It's like the computer cant keep up. Folders with lots
of photos are a nightmare. Folders with just a few load them but almost all
display in a miniture thumbnail until I refresh them. It must be a setting,
but what?

Is it pure XP or Digital Image Library? I do have the exact same problem with
DIP 10. And as soon as the pictures are on a network drive its even worse.
The thumbnails don't even stay when the computer is disconnected. So I do
need help as well.

What OS are you running?
Are you seeing this behavior in the Windows Explorer's shell, or in a
particular application?
