Is there a way to set several folders at one time to show thumbnail view? If
not, maybe some hunk of vb or vba code I can run with cscrript or in ms
access or something? This drives me nuts. I have a lot of image files I work
with. Right now I'm working on a site for a client who is an artist. I have
hundreds of image files from her. When I first got them the other day I
changed all the folders (they are split up in to many folders) to show
thumbnails. But when I opened them today they were back to details. I
normally use details for just abotu everything else but for the thousands of
pictures I've taken and for clients like this one I need to be able to see
thumbs. The only way I know to do this is to go to each folder adn set it to
view thumbs. What a royal pain that is. There's got to be an easier way
without setting my entire system to show thumbs.

Thanks,

Keith

I should note that I've tried right clicking the parent folder and
customizing it for pictures and checked the box for subfolders. No effect on
the subfolders whatsoever. In folder options, I have also checked "remember
each folder's settings" a long time ago. I don't understand why Windows
seems to change these settings around on its own. It's very very
frustrating. I've also noticed taht if you move or rename a folder the
settings change. That's BS. Windows should be able to retain the settings on
teh folder regardless of where you move it to or what name you give it. If
I have set 500 folders to show thumbnailes and then I change the name of the
paretn folder of all those 500 folders, they all go back to showing details.
What a crock.
