Thumbnail Popups during presentation

I would like to have a small thumbnail size graphic appear from a link on
one of my slides. The window can be modal or not . . .

Try this as an example:

I would like to give viewers a quick look at a JPEG of a particular product.

What version of PowerPoint do you have? PPT 2002 and 2003 have what is
called "Trigger animations" that can have this image pop up when you click
any other object on your slide. If not, you would need to create a separate
slide that had the additional image on it. When you clicked an object on
your slide, it would appear as though it popped up, when in actuality, it
jumped to an identical slide with this additional thumbnail image on it.
