I am having what seems like a small problem but it's having huge consequences
when I try to edit pictures. While using a Dell Inspiron 6000 operating
Windows XP Pro every time I open a folder the photo's contained with in the
folder build very tiny thumbnail pictures instead of just using the default
jpeg readers icon. I'm a newspaper photographer so I often open hundreds of
large images and it takes a lot of time to create these little tiny icon
thumbnails. They are so tiny it's impossible to really see the image but it's
clearly building thumbnails of the image - this is with folder option set for
detail or list. The folders are NOT set to thumbnail, if set to that I get
larger thumbnails files you normally see. I use to get an icon with the jpeg
readers logo on it as I still do on my desktop that's running the same
software. I've been to multiple forums and so far no one can figure this out.
Again every time I open a folder each jpeg files build very tiny tiny
thumbnail this also happens in the open box in photo shop (6.0) I have to
actually scroll through the images and watch the thumbnails built or it won't
populate so that I can open the images. This issue is killing me on deadline
because it takes a lot of memory to proceed with this operation so it really
slows down my notebook. I've yet to find anyone who has had this issue. Any
idea's???
