thumb drive on XP

I have a thumb drive that doesn't show up in explorer or
under My Computer when I plug it into the usb. When I
look in the device driver, I can see it, but I can't
browse to it. I didn't have this problem on Windows 2000.
 
Right click on My Computer and select Manage. On the following screen,
select Disk Management. It should now appear on the right hand side of the
screen from where you can assign it a drive letter.
