Those WITH NetBEUI on XP

re: not being able to see other PCs on your
network/access denied message after a short wait in the
workgroup.
I have installed NetBEUI to try get over the problem (so
to clearup, I have a TCP/IP and NetBEUI protocol) but to
no avail.
I have disabled all firewalls temporarily (or atleast the
ones i know of. - Norton and the MS XP one.

I tried all the sollutions (ie ensure the same workgroup
name etc) and one time had it working with full
connectivity and everything. but only once, then it fell
away. hmm whatevers a girl to do.

Don't just disable the Norton firewall. Un-install it, and don't
re-install it until everything's working.

Make sure that NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on all computers, as
