I ran HiJack This, and with help deleted most of the list carefully,
creating a system restore point first, of course. Ad-Aware, Windows
Defender, and AVAST are operating too, and may bring up Spybot S&D - but
now, I have those pesky red Xs on websites.

Additionally, I can no longer 'play' Cash Cab on Discovery.com b/c it won't
come up (interactive) so I tried to download Adobe Flash Player, and it
won't download.

Security settings reverted to "Default," and Active X stuff changed
according to Adobe's suggestions...all seems fine but ...

Any suggestions?

correction: Spyware Blaster is also running -- little else now runs in the
background.

SpywareBlaster has a feature called Flash Killer. Check to see if you
have enabled it.

(Strictly speaking, SpywareBlaster isn't running; it makes changes to
various settings.)

OK -- TY I'll check.

Sorry - thank you very much. Interestingly, that isn't in any of the online
SEARCH links for the problem of "red Xs" - ;-))
