This technigue feasible?

Have a dual-boot system that defaults to 98SE. Historical reasons, as kids
etc. are used to that with most apps, games etc. already installed.

I've setup XP Pro (SP2 installed and all) with accounts etc. and anything
"new" is being installed under it. During this fairly (what I expect)
lengthy transition I want to provide an understandable means for the kids
etc. to reboot the pc back into 98SE from XP's logon screen.

To this end I've come up with a plan and asking for confirmation it'll work.

1: Create a new user named "Boot to 98SE", NO password
2: under it's startup folder have a shortcut to immediately shutdown XP and
reboot the pc.

It'll then default boot back into 98SE.

Feasible or is there some "better" way?

Tested it and it does work.

Now wondering if there's any way to avoid the account having to "login",
e.g. load desktop etc. but instead just do the reboot without the extra
stuff first?

P.S. I'm using a shortcut with this target "%windir%\SYSTEM32\TSSHUTDN.EXE 0
/DELAY:0 /REBOOT" in the accounts startup folder to do the reboot.

From the logon screen, they should just be able to click the Turn off button, and select Restart. If you're using the XP boot manager, the Win 98 OS is one of the choices.
