I want to go to broadband using virgin.net as my isp.

If I do I'm given to understnd that if I wish to access the
four different accounts I have I will still have to dial
into them every so often.

So, the real question is, how can I set up different email
addresses on one account.

I principly want two for email, and two for newsgroups:-

(e-mail address removed) for email
(e-mail address removed) to post to newsgroups
(e-mail address removed) for email
(e-mail address removed) to post to newsgroups

So, how do I go about setting up these different addresses?

No, you shouldn't have to do that.

How to set these up depends on what programs you use for E-mail
and newsgroups. Most, but not all, programs permit you to easily
set up multiple accounts.

For example, I use Outlook 2003 as my E-mail client. I have it
set up with three different accounts, one for each of my three
E-mail addresses.

I use Outlook Express for newsgroups. I have it set for five
different accounts, one for each of the newsservers I use.

Write back with more info about what software you'll be using and
I, or someone else here, can help you with specifics.

I would suggest that you use Outlook Express for all of your newsgroups.
Then either MS Office Outlook or Thunderbird 1.0 for your e-mail client. So
what the hell...

By now, you should be discovering what a mistake it was to post your actual
email address. I have deleted them in the body of your message for this
reply. Never use your real email address in any newsgroup posting. The
entire world now knows your private email addresses. I would suggest
changing them immediately.

You will have four email accounts, but only one account for dialling in,
to use after boot and leave. You will then get multiple email addresses
assigned by the ISP (see on its site once joined up, under membership or
similar) and set up a separate *email* account for each in Outlook
Express (or other mail program) using the same POP and SMTP servers but
different names
