Hi,

I don't know what to do more. It is getting bad to worse, as I need to
continuously restart my pc to send email and sometimes just even to receive
email. Sometimes, I get error messages, sometimes not. Sometimes it even asks
for my username and password of all my email accounts, and then the next time
it is all fine. I need a solution that is workable for me.
Situation: I have Avast installed, but email scanning is completely off. I
runned Windows Defender a few times and I have deleted one file. I have
installed Spyboaster (as recommend by one of you here), but that made things
even worse, so uninstalled it again.
Looking for another email program is making me nuts too. It need to find one
that I can import the emails from Windows Mail that I cannot permit for work
reasons to loose (+5000 emails).
Even Gary suggested that it is maybe not WM related and suggested to repair
or install Winddows Vista again, but I do not want to do this as I cannot
permit to loose all my work and settings.

So bascially, I need a solution where I can send and receive emails from +20
email accounts (that are all on a server, so no ISP) like a normal
professional person and that I can keep working on the emails that I already
have. I do not have Outlook 2003, Thunderbird is not my cup of coffee. I have
Outlook 2000 but there I cannot import my Windows Mail emails.

So, please what can I do?????????

Thanks
Erwin

Wait for a post that tells you where to download Windows Live Mail.
It's free and should be able to import all your Windows Mail messages.
It has a better handling of multiple accounts.

Do a _thorough_ check for malware, following all of the steps at one of
these Web pages.

So How Did I Get Infected Anyway?
For quite a few people it's by installing programs like Messenger Plus,
whose ads for malware don't identify the malware as such and try to convince
you that you owe it to the author. See also:
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=27971
Don't ever do a "default" install of anything. Always choose Custom and see
what else is being carried along. Don't install any extras you're not sure
of.

After you do the malware check recommended by Frank, if you
still have problems, consider upgrading to Windows Live Mail.
It should automatically import all your WM accounts, settings and
emails. If it turns out you don't like it, just uninstall, and WM will be
back as it was.
